The long wait is over for Nokia lovers as the Nokia 3 finally hit smartphone outlets in India. As HMD Global had promised, the phones are now available in offline stores across the country. The company has partnered with 400 distributors to reach over 80,000 retail points.
The phone, which is priced at Rs 9,499 will be available in Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White.
Nokia 3, 5 and 6, which mark the re-entry of the brand in the country, will be manufactured domestically, as announced by HMD Global. Notably, the company is selling Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 offline, while the Nokia 6 will be sold exclusively via Amazon India. All the three Nokia smartphones have 4G with VoLTE, run stock AndroidNougat software and will regularly be updated, promised HMD Global.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 3 sports a 5-inch display, MediaTek MTK 6737 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage along with a microSD card slot. It includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Running Android Nougat out-of-the-box, the device includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. A 2,650mAh battery completes the package. It will be available in Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White color variants.
The Nokia 5 includes a 5.2-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, the device includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB type C-port. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package.
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Running Android Nougat out-of-the-box, it is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone was well received after its initial release in the Chinese market and managed to garner 250,000 pre-orders within the first 24 hours.
